Dorothy S. McDowell, born July 5, 1915, passed away at home in El Paso, TX on Saturday, June 23, 2001. Mrs. McDowell was a 60-year resident of Albuquerque prior to moving to El Paso, TX. Her husband, L.E. McDowell; son, David L. McDowell; and daughter, Mary Lou Roady preceded Mrs. McDowell in death. She is survived by her sons, Guy Allen McDowell of Corrales and William J. McDowell and wife, Marsha also of Corrales; daughter, Kathleen Armstrong and husband, Joe of El Paso, TX; brother, Roger Seddon of Albuquerque; sister, Peggy Valencich of Sacramento, CA; step-mother, Aubrey Seddon of Ft. Worth, TX; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a loving, giving mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2001, at French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd NE, with Rev. Gerald Farley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2001, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
