Obituary for Dean

Clarence Clinton Dean, 77, Clinton, as he was known to family and friends, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, June 21, 2001, at his home in Los Lunas following a lengthy illness. Clinton was born February 2, 1924 the son of Andrew and Clara Fae Kate Dean in Lawton, Oklahoma. He grew up in Lawton, and worked as a Pipefitter for many years in most of the Western States. He owned and operated Dean's Plumbing and Heating for over 20 years in the Espanola Valley. He settled in the Espanola Valley where he headed the Maintenance Department at Los Alamos County until his retirement in 1990. He and his family moved to Los Lunas in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald; a daughter, Clara Mae Snider and two grandsons, Roy Dean and C. Kenneth Dean. Clinton is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nettie Dean, of the family home; three sons, Curtis Dean and wife, Nancy of Arroyo Seco, Clinton (Willie) Dean and Randy Dean, both of Los Lunas; one daughter, Donna Belle of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Eugene Dean and wife, Darlene of Texas and Charlie Dean and wife, Nancy of Seattle, WA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The Visitaiton for Clinton will be Thursday, June 28, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, the Service will be at Noon on Thursday, June 28, 2001 in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. It has been suggested that contributions be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 90790, Albuquerque, NM 87199-0790.
