Obituary for Eastburg

Newell Eastburg, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952 and was born in Iowa, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Eastburg; daughters, Linda Eastburg of Denver and Gwen Eastburg and husband, Jim Lowrey and son, Zachary Guay; son, Randy Eastburg and wife, Lisa and children, Bradley Bowling and Brooke Eastburg; sister-in-law, Chloe Eastburg and daughter, Tena Eastburg and numerous relatives in Western, KS. Newell entered the Army in the Costal Artillery Unit in WWII at the age of 17. That where he gained experience in the printing business. And remained in the printing business for 57 years and finished his career for Starline Printing where he worked for many years. He met his beautiful wife in Denver, Colorado where they married, there after moved to Albuquerque, NM to start their family. He was a member of the Hoffmantown Church and loved going to horse races and going to his sons car lot. Newell also loved sporting events especially those that his children and grandchildren were involved in. Services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2001, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Road N.W., with Pastor Jim Williams, officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd N.E. Friends may visit on Thursday, June 21, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel.
