Obituary for Benjamin

Glen Edward Benjamin, 84, a resident of New Mexico since 1958, died Monday, July 30, 2001. He is survived by his sons, Johnny Ray Benjamin and William M. (Bill) Benjamin, both of Aztec, NM; daughters, Marilyn (Suzie) Cobb and husband, Jerry and Margaret A. (Peggy) Doran and husband, John, all of Albuquerque; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Miller and husband, Frank and Jo Ella Phares and husband, Paul; and brother, Charles Benjamin, all of Garnett, KS. Mr. Benjamin was preceded in death by his son, Glennard Lee Benjamin. He worked as a plumber and a plumbing contractor. Mr. Benjamin was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. for 60 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII in the South Pacific and Japan aboard the U.S.S. Melette. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
