Edith S. Smith, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Tuesday, September 4, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Richard A. Smith and wife, Carolyn of Scottsdale, AZ and Herb H. Smith Jr. and wife, Charlotte of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rachelle A. Smith, Regan A. Smith and Loren A. Smith; sister, Delores Sivyer of Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Smith; parents, David and Emilia; infant daughter, Brenda; sisters, Rose Martinez, Ruth Quintana and Edna Sivyer Fierro; and brothers, Larry Sivyer, Carlos Sivyer and Ralph Sivyer. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 7, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE. Interment will take lace at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, September 6, 2001, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
