Maria "LaLa" Otero, 50, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Otero of El Paso, TX; sons, Oscar Otero Jr. and wife, Madelyn of Colorado Springs, CO and Danny Otero of El Paso, TX; grandsons Tyler; mother, Chonita Gonzales; sister, Velma Scelza and husband, Mike; brothers, Jess Gonzales and wife, Sandra, Florival Jr, Miguel, Ruben and wife, Deana, Melvin and wife, Gabby, Chris and wife, Janet, John and wife, Joanna; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Cremation has taken place and memorial rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 5, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at San Antonito Church, North Highway 14, with Father John Carney reciting.
