Obituary for Lopez

Mark Dwane Lopez, 31, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, June 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife, LeiLani Lopez of the family home; son, Dakota Lopez; stepdaughter, Brittney McGeorge; mother, Gloria Lopez; father, Brijido Montoya; sisters, CeCe Murphy, Amalia Beanca Lopez, Helen Davidson and Diana Montoya; brothers, David Brian Lopez, Noah James Wheeler, J.B. Montoya and Steve Ramirez; mother-in-law, Artie Yellowhorse; sister-in-law, Desire Crabtree and husband, Jimmy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends, Georgia and Dwight Crabtree. Mr. Lopez was a Hospital Corpsman, 3rd Class Petty Officer, attached to a United State Marine Unit during Desert Storm. He has worked at Los Alamos Labs for the last three years and was currently enrolled at College of Santa Fe working on a degree in computer science. He was the most talented, kind and cherished person who always put others before himself. He was an angel and soul mate for his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rosary will be recited Sunday, June 17, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Deacon Dan Lopez reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 18, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Gutierrez, Richard Lopez, Donald Lopez, Steven Lopez, Jimmy Crabtree, and Lynol Yellowhorse. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Sloan and Phil Banks. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Sunday, June 17, 2001, 2:00 p.m. until time of Rosary.
