Obituary for Bartlett

Dorothy Lee Bartlett, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 10 years and a former resident of Aurora, MO, died Sunday, June 10, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Bartlett and husband, Joseph Minnick of Arizona and Carla K. Bartlett of Los Angeles; sons, Tom Bartlett and wife, Laura of Los Angeles and Dan Bartlett and wife, Dympna of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Dorothy was one of the thousands of women fondly called ¯Rosie the Riveter,¯ helping to build the planes during WWII while her husband was away at war. She continued to build her family who loved her dearly and admired her ability to design a loving home and handcrafted items which will remain in the homes of those who hold dear her memory. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, 4:00 p.m., at Laurel View, 5900 Forest Hills Drive NE, with Father Richard Olona officiating. Interment will take place in Missouri.
