Obituary for Bobbitt

Wesley Reid Bobbitt, 52, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, a passionate and honorable man, died Saturday, September 15, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Weber-Bobbitt; sons, John Wesley Browning and Jerrod Weber Sanchez, all of Albuquerque; mother, Betty Kearse Bobbitt of Charlottesville, VA; brothers, Bo Bobbitt and wife, Bonnie of Fayetteville, GA and Tim Bobbitt of Charlottesville, VA; nephew, Russell Bobbitt; niece, Melanie Bobbitt, both of Fayetteville, GA; aunt, Particia Ingersoll of Lake Forest, IL; sister-in-law, Bonnie Bobbitt of Fayetteville, GA; office kids, Chris Below, Krista Perea and Von Anaya, all of Albuquerque; many friends and relatives; and ex-wife, Helen Browning of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. O.B. Bobbitt of Charlottesville, VA. Wesley was born in Charlottesville, VA. He was a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School. After working for the District Attorneys' office in Carlsbad and Albuquerque, he was in private practice for the past 18 years. Wes was ever the student and teacher. Mr. Bobbitt was discretely generous as a lawyer and a friend and was the only lifetime member of the Albuquerque Chapter of the Irish American Society. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Judge Neil Candelaria officiating.
