Obituary for Anagnostelis

James Francis Anagnostelis, 14, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2001, after a sudden but brief battle with Leukemia. He is survived by his parents, Jeri and James Anagnostelis; brother, Peter Anagnostelis, all of Albuquerque; grandparents, June and Jerry Britt of Albuquerque and Gus and Barbara Anagnostelis of The Woodlands, TX; great-grandmother, Helen May of San Rafael, CA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. James was a Freshman at La Cueva High School and for the last several years he ran track and cross-country for the Albuquerque Track Club. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including camping and was an avid snowboarder. James was very tenderhearted and compassionate. His many friends and family will greatly miss him. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., at Grace Church, 6901 San Antonio NE, with Pastor Dave Bruskas officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Hospital of New Mexico, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 2211 Lomas Blvd. NE, 87106.
