Obituary for Kellis

Peter I. Kellis, 77, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, and a resident of Albuquerque for 46 years, died Thursday, October 4, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Angeliki Kellis; son, Ignatios"Jack" Kellis, both of Albuquerque; daughters, CA and Marianthe"Mary" Scanlan and husband, Kevin of San Diego, CA; sisters, Sophia Aleck of Santa Fe and Athena Patsalis of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Electra, Eleni, Eliana and Emalia Katelanis, Gavin and Katelin Scanlan. Peter was born and raised in Greece and immigrated to the U.S. He owned and operated The Palace Caf? on Central and Atrisco, and later operated The Western View Diner near Coors and Central. He was a longtime member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Peter will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Trisagion will be held Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High SE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
