Obituary for Davis

Claude E. Davis, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, died Friday, October 5, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn W. Davis, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his sons, Thomas E. Davis and wife, Glenda, Don T. Davis, Jim A. Davis and wife, Linda, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Bryan Davis and wife, Stephanie, John T. Davis and wife, Lorrie, Chad E. Davis and fiancÈ, Jennifer, and Cathy Davis West and husband, Clint; great grandchildren, Jessica, Hunter, Alyssa, and Josie Davis, all of Albuquerque; brother, Robert E. Davis and wife, Janie of Tulsa, OK. Mr. Davis served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of Major in the Army Reserve. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Davis was a Chemist in Richland, WA at the Hanford Plant and a Health Physicist with the Atomic Energy Commission and D.O.E. in Albuquerque. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church where he served on the board of elders. Mr. Davis was also a president of Toastmasters. Services will be Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at 4:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will take place in Oklahoma Thursday, October 11, 2001.
