Marie P. Carey, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1913, died on Thursday, May 31, 2001. She is survived by her sons, George R. Carey and wife, Kathryn of Albuquerque and Ralph H. Carey and wife, Sue of Corpus Cristi, TX; grandchildren, Brent J. Carey and wife, Kristin, Douglas G. Carey and wife, Yuko, Karen King and husband, Terry, Michelle Allen and husband, Daryl and Cristen Carey; great-grandchildren, Nicholl, Melissa, Alexis and Rachel; nephew, Leroy Humphries and his mother, Mary Humphries and many other family and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Carey in 1994. She was a member of the Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Marie taught piano & organ for many years. She also served as an organist and pianist at several local Baptist Churches. Services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at Hoffmantown Baptist Church, 8888 Harper NE, with Pastor Ken Moore, officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. Friends may visit on Sunday, June 3, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E.
