Phillip J. Pino, 5, born and raised in Albuquerque N.M. Passed away May 29, 2001. An angel sent from Heaven came and touched our lives with his beautiful smile and heart of gold. He was a brave little boy whose excitement was to start school. He just learned how to ride his bike with out training wheels; his eyes twinkled when it was time to watch his favorite cartoon, Pokemon."Abuela me puetho lluevar un movie pa mi casa?" He liked to sing, his last song he sang was to his mother"You Are My Sunshine" and he was the sunshine of her life. Phillip will be in our hearts forever. Survived by mother, Veronica Garcia; father, Gerardo Gil; and two year old brother, Anthony Gil; grandparents, Paul and Debbie Nieto; great-grandparents, Joe and Lydia Garcia, Tata and Abuela, Arthur and Eloise Nieto; great-great Grandpa, Filberto Tafoya; Godfather, Joseph Garcia; Godmother, Monique Torres; aunts, Adriana, Amanda, Brenda, Cindy, Diana, Darlene and Antoinette; uncles, Paul Jr., Joseph, Luis, Tio Alvaro; and many cousins. Visitations for Phillip will be held Friday, June 1, 2001 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Friday night June 1, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. also in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, June 2, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Garcia , Monique Torres, Manuel Gil and Paul Nieto. Funeral Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave, SW, 243-5222.
