Obituary for Zaudke

Annath G. (Campbell) Zaudke, 86, died on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at Whitewater Health Care Center in St. Charles, MN. Annath was born in St. Charles, MN on March 18, 1914, to Edward and Jessie (Buffman) Campbell. In 1941, she graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing and from that point on nursing was a major part of her life. Annath joined the US Navy and nursed as an Ensign at Corona Naval Base in California during World War II. After the war, she moved back to St. Charles, MN and then relocated to Kansas. Annath married Elmer Zaudke on June 9, 1945. In 1951, the moved to Albuquerque, where she worked at the AT & SF Hospital until her retirement She also lived in Santa Fe. Elmer died in 1982. Annath returned to St. Charles, MN in 1990. She belonged to Christ Lutheran Church in Albuquerque and St. Matthew Lutheran in St. Charles, MI. Annath was a member of the Lutheran Mission Women's League. She served as President of the New Mexico Federation of Women's clubs, District II, in 1978. Annath participated in the Santa Fe Women's Club, the GFWC Cosmopolitan Woman's Club, and was a charter member of the Women in Service Memorial in Washington, D.C. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Bowman of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Don Campbell and wife, Mildred of St. Charles, MN; brother, John"Bob" Campbell and wife, Olive of Oronoco, MN; sister, Adelaide Waby of St. Charles, MN; grandchildren, Tammy Howze, and Joel, Tonya, David and Aaron Myers; and eight great-grandchildren. Husband, Elmer and sister, Mae Miller preceded her in death. Services will be held Saturday, 12:30 p.m. at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Greg Werdin officiating. Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joel Myers, David Myers, and Aaron Myers. Friends may visit one hour prior to service at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
