Obituary for Romero

Estefanita Romero, 93, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away quietly at her home on January 21, 2001. She was born in Santo Domingo, NM. On January 10, 1908. Estefanita is survived by her son, Frank Romero, Jr.; grandchildren Francisco Romero, Orlando Romero, Tomas Romero, Sylvia Romero, and Ricardo Romero; great-grandchildren Orlando Romero, Jr., Jacquiline Romero, Mariah Romero, and Sarah Rose Romero. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Rita "Ricardita" Maez, Pablita Hurtuado, Tillie Trujillo, Lolo Tapia, Junior Tapia, Mary Duran; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Final visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. this morning at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel on 8th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Francisco Romero, Orlando Romero, Tomas Romero, Ricardo Romero, Richard Trujillo and Orlando Romero. Jr. Honorary Casket bearers will be Orlando Samuel Romero, Guadalupe Tapia, Elarid Lolo Tapia, Kenneth Chavez, Adam Chavez, Randy Chavez and Tony Saiz. Funeral Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW. 243-5222.
