Eva Alderete Schoolcraft, 74, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away at her home on January 20, 2001. She was born on January 24, 1926 to the late Baltazar and Manuelita (Aragon) Alderete. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Eva is survived by her husband, Edward A. Schoolcraft; daughter, Yvonne Schoolcraft; sisters, Ruth Alderete and Chona Barela; brothers, Henry and Larry Alderete, all of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven, 5310 Claremont Ave NE. A Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., also at Queen of Heaven. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of her arrangements.
