Obituary for Torres

Joseph Frank Torres, Jr., passed away peacefully at his Santa Fe home early Thursday, April 19, 2001. He was a native of Trinidad, Colorado, but a long time resident of Santa Fe, NM. Frank and Patricia E. Heaton were married in St. Helens, England on October 25, 1958. Frank served as a United State Air Force Officer for 15 years. He received a bachelor's degree from Denver University, a Masters from the University of Maryland, and a Masters from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a real estate businessman in Santa Fe for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Joseph Frank Torres, Sr., and Crusita K. Torres; and a brother, Lawrence Torres. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia E. (Heaton) Torres of Santa Fe; four sons: Bruce F. Torres, Mark F. Torres, MD, and wife, Jenevie, Matthew R. Torres, and Brett T. Torres, all of Santa Fe; four granddaughters; and two grandsons. He also is survived by numerous friends and family throughout the world. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2001 at Berardinelli Family Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at St. Francis Cathedral. Interment with military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Frank's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Hospice Center for their loving care during his illness.
