Obituary for Sedillo

Maria Stella Chavez de Sedillo, 84, a life long resident of the Los Lunas area, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2001. Stella, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, lived her life of 84 years in the Catholic and Lord's way. She truly walked the path of Christ having many friends and family members. Born in Los Lunas to Thomas and Dolores Chavez on March 12, 1917. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Luciano Sedillo in 1991; her son, Bernardo Sedillo in 1971; her daughter, Petra Sedillo Gallegos in 2001; her father and mother, Thomas and Dolores Chavez; four brothers, Frank; Thomas; Carman and Mariano. Stella is survived and mourned by her family. Her daughters, Dolores and her husband, Alfonso Jaramillo; Rosemary Lopez; Ymelda Sedillo; Victoria and her husband, Carlos Otero; Marie Stella and her husband, Steve Gabaldon; and one son, H. Lloyd Sedillo and his wife, Marisa; 31 grandchildren, Renee; Jeff; Henry; Ben; Janet; Beverly; Veronica; Geraldine; David; Rosemary; Leonella; Isabelle; Adolph; Robby; Tommy; Pamela; John Shannon; James; Valerie; Daniel; Diego; Carlos; Mario; Victoria; Heidi Marie; Karie Ann; Stella Noel; Angela; Christian; Lloyd Jr; and John Jesse; 36 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Lucy Lovato; Margaret Castillo and Francis Gabaldon; and her many loving nieces and nephews. There will be a Viewing on Monday, April 23, 2001 at the San Clemente Catholic Church from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church with Interment following at the El Camposanto de Libertad de Sedillos in El Cerro. Pallbearers will be Renee Jaramillo Blythe; Janet Lopez Micaletti; Pamela Hogue; Valerie Gallegos Boltz; Victoria Otero; Heide Marie Gabaldon; Juliette Castillo; and Regina Chavez Torrez.
