James L. Duckworth, 65, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 after a short illness. Mr. Duckworth was born on February 6, 1936 to Lester and Esther Duckworth in Minnesota. Mr. Duckworth is survived by a son, Mitchell; three daughters, Cheryl Perkins and husband, Bob, Diane Johnson and husband, Chris, and Karen Duckworth; seven grandchildren all of Minnesota, and the Pollo family and many friends in Albuquerque. Mr. Duckworth moved to New Mexico in 1985 and was a real estate appraiser for many years. He was a member of the VFW American Legion and Edelweiss Am Rio Grande German American Club. Services were held on April 19, 2001 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Veterans Administration Hospital for their wonderful care of Jim during his illness. Cremation arrangements by Sunrise Society of NM.
