Johnny "Larry" Torres, age 46, passed away unexpectedly in Albuquerque Thursday morning, April 26, 2001. He was born August 6, 1954, in Albuquerque. He is survived by his parents; Ciprian and Frances Torres; two sisters, Beatrice Flores, Bella and her husband, Dennis Madrid; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins, all of Albuquerque. Larry was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at Queen of Heaven Church Monday, April 30, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will also be held at Queen of Heaven Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are D.J. Madrid, Leon Flores, Richard Vigil, David Baca, Andrew Gutierrez, and D.J. Garcia. Burial site will be announced. Visitation will be held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Avenue SE, Monday, April 30, from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
