Michael A. D'Ornellas, an area resident since 1975, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2001. Michael was a member of the Central New Mexico Builders Association. He served in the 82nd Airborne in the Vietnam Era. Michael is survived by his wife, Mary; mother, Elva D'Ornellas of Albuquerque; children, Michael Jr. and his wife, Christy, of Easley, SC, Kevin D'Ornellas and Paul D'Ornellas of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael, Josh and Matthew; sisters, Janice Defreitas and husband, Aubrey, of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Dasilva and husband, Robert, of San Diego, CA, and Maureen Stock and husband, Roger, of Albuquerque; and brother, Brian D'Ornellas of Albuquerque. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at Grace Church, 6901 San Antonio NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, on Tuesday, May 1, 2001, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of NM, 525 San Pedro NE #101, Albuquerque, NM, 87108.
