Tafoya -- Herman O. Tafoya Sr., 76, a Bataan Death March survivor, member of the 200th Coast Artillery, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, and a notable APS & UNM educator for over 30 years, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998. He is survived by his sons, Herman O. Tafoya Jr., Brian E. Tafoya and wife, Nancy B., and Norman R. Tafoya and wife, Dr. Anne T., all of Albuquerque; daughters, Sharon T. Burner and husband, Dr. William L. Burner III of Vienna, VA, Juliette T. Leverette and husband, Lt. Col. Gary L. Leverette, U.S.A.F., of Albuquerque, and Susan T. Sullivan and husband, Christopher Sullivan of Japan; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence Tafoya of Fremont, CA, Richard Tafoya, and Fred Tafoya both of Albuquerque; one sister, Julia Hendren of Albuquerque. Mr. Tafoya was preceded in death by his wife, Edna in April 1995; and by three brothers, Henry, Joe"Morey", and Alfonso. A Memorial Service will be held at French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd NE at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24th. Woodward -- Sally J. Woodward, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Friday, June 19, 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Darla Gensinger and husband, Larry, Gail English and husband, Paul, both of Albuquerque, Karen O'Kelly and husband, Gary of Rio Rancho; son, David Woodward and wife, Frances Coleman of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Andrea Gensinger, James O'Kelly, Kristine O'Kelly, Kathryn Woodward and Robby Woodward. Barb -- Gail L. Barb, Sr., 72, a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years, died Saturday June 20, 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Barb; son, James Barb and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Aimee, Julian, and Stephanie, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Bruce Barb and wife, Emily of Ohio, Paul Barb and wife, Tasnee of Florida; sisters, Juanita Arens of Ohio, and Nancy Davis and husband, Mel of West Virginia; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Garland and husband, Dale of Texas, Peggy Pfeufer of Nevada, Margaret Rogers of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Bob Morris and wife, Lil of Nevada, Joe Meyer of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Barb in 1995; and by his son, Gail L."Rusty" Barb in 1976. Mr. Barb was a veteran of US Army and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd NE, with Laura Proctor, Officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd, NE. Carrillo -- Mrs. Concha Carrillo, 84, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 20, 1998 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Carrillo is survived by five daughters, Dulcy Padilla, Jessie Padilla, Lupe Baca and husband, Eloy, Irene Ortiz and Theresa Snow; four sons, Conrad Carrillo Jr., Robert Carrillo, Sam Carrillo and Clarence Carrillo; three sisters, Lupe Sisneros, Criselda Carrillo and husband, Cesario, and Eustilia Sedillo; one brother, Enereo Griego and wife, Gertrude; 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Carrillo was a member of the catholic church. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd, SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Ernestina Barela. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning in the church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00, Father Anthony Bolman, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Los Padillas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rudy Baca, Johnny Carrillo, Fermin Padilla, Robert Ortiz, Eloy Gallegos and Harry Padilla. Davidson -- Josephine Kenzora Davidson, 83, a resident of Carlsbad, NM died Friday, June 19, 1998. She is survived by her sons, Richard M. Davidson and wife, Jamie of Albuquerque, James C. Davidson and wife, Elizabeth of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Holly B. Mitchell and husband, Jim, Rebecca A. Davidson, Carrie L. Davidson all of Albuquerque, and Jesse R. Davidson of Nashville, TN; brother, Johnny L. Kenzora and wife, Kathryn; sister, Sally Creeger and husband, Stan all of Carlsbad, NM. Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by husband, William R. Davidson in 1986; and son, John William Davidson in 1963. She and William R. Davidson were very active in Elks Lodge in Carlsbad and enjoyed her family and home. Eubank -- Wayne C. Eubank, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque died Thursday in a local nursing home following a prolonged illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Twitty Eubank on September 30, 1987. He is survived by; a brother-in-law, Francis Twitty of Orlando, FL; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Twitty of Lake Placid, FL. Services will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, with the Rev. Ira Williams of First United Methodist Church Officiating. Interment will follow in the Claude, Texas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Methodist Church in his memory.

Fisher -- Twila P. Fisher, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. She is survived by her son, James P. Fisher of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary McFarland of Indianapolis, IN and Martha Black of Apache Junction, AZ; brothers, James Elder and wife, Joan of Shelbyville, IN and Kenneth Elder of Crawfordsville, IN; niece, Connie Burress and husband, John of Albuquerque; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris P. Fisher in 1982. Mrs. Fisher was born on September 30, 1917 in Crawfordsville, IN, the daughter of C.V. and Gladys M. (Walter) Patton. She graduated from Forest, IN High School and also from Terhune Secretarial College. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, a business and professional women's organization in Shelbyville, IN. She was a charter member of Soroptimist International of Albuquerque Heights. Mrs. Fisher worked in the small loan department of Farmers Bank and was the manager of American Security Company in Shelbyville, IN. She married Morris P. Fisher on May 20, 1939 and they moved to Albuquerque on December 30, 1948. Mrs. Fisher worked for P.F. McCanna, Inc. from February 1949 to December 1953. In 1954, she began working for D.W. Eakin Company Realtors as office manager, and worked there until the day of her death. Services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul NE, with Rev. Charles Fish officiating. Cremation will follow services. Leyba -- Josefita B. Leyba (Pepa) died in her sleep June 18, 1998, at her home in Pena Blanca, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Atilano Leyba; and her son, Alvin Leyba. She is survived by seven children, Eva and husband, Paul, Martha and husband, Ray, Ursula and husband, Felix, Rosalia and husband, Wayne, Katy and husband, Freddie, Virginio and wife, Tita, and Bella Lopez; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; brother, David and wife, Virginia; sisters, Dora and Mary; and many nieces and nephews. The Mass 10:00 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pena Blanca, NM with Fr. Hilaire, Celebrant. Pallbearers will be: Eddie Torres, Gerald Martinez, Eddie Benavidez, Timothy Sanchez, Michael Leyba, Ned Baca.
