Dowling -- Bill Dowling, age 69, passed away on March 2, 2000, after four years of fighting a heart condition. He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Geraldine Brooks Dowling; sons, Mark Dowling and Bruce Dowling and wife, Stacy; grandchildren, Ray M. Dowling and Alexis J. Dowling; a brother, John and wife, Constance of Ahtens, GA; brothers-in-law, Everett M. Brooks of Taos and Calvin B. Brooks of Albuquerque. Bill was born in Panhandle, Texas and moved with his family to Taos when he was five years old. He and Geraldine Brooks met and were married on August 19, 1950. They moved their family to Albuquerque in 1962 where Bill started his business Mesa Ent. He was involved with the daily operation of the business until his health began to fail. Bill asked that there be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Sandia Hospice, 4725 Indian School NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. A special thanks to Henrietta Standing and Marge George for their caring help during Bill's illness.

Duncan -- Wilma M. Duncan, 73, of Flat Rock, NC, died Friday morning, March 3, 2000 at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House following a short illness. She was a native of Henderson County, NC and was the daughter of the late Frank and Lela Corn Garren. She was a prior resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved back to Henderson County in 1994. She was the wife of the late Andrew E. Duncan, who died in 1982. She was the manager of the Buffeteria in Montgomery Wards in Albuquerque for twenty six years. She was a very active member of Hendersonville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by one sister, Vera Morgan of Hendersonville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2000 at the Hendersonville Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Anthony M. Craver officiating. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 4, 2000. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be made to Elizabeth House, PO Box 2395, Hendersonville, NC 28739. Shuler & Luck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Espinosa -- RICHARD A. ESPINOSA January 15, 1966-March 3, 2000A longtime resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico, went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, Friday, March 3, 2000 after a long illness. Rick graduated from Los Lunas High School in 1984. His passion in life was his artwork, wood carving, sculpturing, and writing. He was able to travel some. He put his faith in God and spoke freely about the day when our Lord would come to take him home. Rick is survived by his loving family of Los Lunas. We will miss him dearly! He is survived by his parents, Edward Espinosa and Patricia; sisters, Laura Tafoya and husband, Ray, and Tina Aragon and husband, Victor; one niece and nephew, Miranda and Tony Tafoya; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will take place at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Rosary is at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Interment will follow at San Clemente Cemetery in Los Lunas. May God our Father thru his son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, grant him eternal life and the joys of heaven.

Garcia -- Celedonia Garcia, 94, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 3, 2000 while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Garcia was born in Manzano, NM to the late Juan Jose and Juanita Turrieta and was a resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo R. Garcia. Mrs. Garcia is survived by three sons, Severo Garcia and wife, Romelia, Robert Garcia and wife, Florinda, Marcos Sedillo and wife, Mary Lou; six daughters, Veva Garcia, Margaret Garcia, Aurora Espino, Vickie Lewis and husband, Jessie, Flora Santiestevan and husband, Archie, Estella Eras and husband, Albert; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Also surviving are two brothers, Canuto Turrieta and wife, Teresa and Manuel Turrieta. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5525 Fortuna Rd. NW with Fr. Jose Hernandez as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Casket bearers will be Louie Espino, Robert Paul Garcia, Arthur Garcia, Raymond Sedillo, Albert Eras and Scott Lewis. Gilmer -- George Weston Gilmer, 93, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2000, following a long illness. He was born in St. Joseph, MO on December 25, 1906 to Fred E. and Lola E. Gilmer. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther Kipping Gilmer; sons, Maurice and wife, Charlotte Gilmer of Albuquerque, and Stanley and wife, Marge of Glendale, CA; and granddaughter, Janet Hoben of Burbank, CA. After retiring in 1975, George and Esther moved from California to Albuquerque. Mr. Gilmer was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Temple Lodge #6 of Albuquerque, where he served as Marshall for several years. He was also a member of The Scottish Rite Bodies of Santa Fe and Ballut Abyad Shrine of Albuquerque. He was a past patron of Adah Chapter #5, Order of Eastern Star, Albuquerque. He was a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Northridge, CA. Mr. Gilmer was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church; a gentle and loving man, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 5, 4:00 p.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria Rd. NE, with Rev. Jan Butin officiating. Herrera -- Mr. Emilio L. Herrera, a lifetime resident of Alameda, died Friday in Albuquerque at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloisa Herrera; and sister, Lucia Gonzales. Mr. Herrera is survived by his nephew whom he raised, Clarence Sanchez; and a special niece, Rita Sanchez. He is also survived by his brothers, Juan Herrera, Carlos Herrera and Sigfriedo Herrera; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Herrera will be held on Tuesday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where the service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for Mr. Herrera will be held on Monday, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A wake service will be held on Monday evening, 7:30 p.m., at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
