Earl -- M.L."Mike" Earl, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, died on Wednesday, October 21, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Earl; sons, Michael L. Earl and wife, Lea, Terry L. Earl and wife, Sally, and Patrick R. Earl and wife, Laura; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and sister, Meta D. Gritsch. He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene N. Earl. Lt. Commander Earl served his country in the US Navy for 20 years during World War II, and the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the NAVY MARS and ARRL. Rosary will be recited Sunday, October 25, 1998, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 26, 1998, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE, with Father Joe Vigil, Celebrant. Estes -- Anne Marie Estes, age 34, died Wednesday, October 21, 1998. She was born in Albuquerque, raised in El Paso, and returned to Albuquerque to attend UNM in 1982. She is survived by her parents, Roger D. and Sheila Estes of Albuquerque; grandmother, Ette Estes of Albuquerque; brother, David D. Estes of Albuquerque; niece, Celeste Estes; nephew, Ethan Estes, both of Albuquerque; uncle, Robert W. Estes of Albuquerque; aunt, Eunice Kinney of Artesia, NM. She was a member of Calvary Chapel. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunset Memorial Park. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Glover -- Gordon Thomas Glover, born in Salina, Kansas March 4, 1916, died October 23, 1998, in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Glover; son, Tom Glover and wife, Mary; daughter, Pat Glover; and 2 granddaughters, Trisha and Carrie. Gordon received a BS and MS in metallurgical engineering at the University of Alabama. He built and operated flotation mills in Southwestern New Mexico before his retirement in 1981. During his lifetime he was very active in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held in Albuquerque on Thursday, October 29, at 3:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Blvd NE, with Rev. Fred Dorisse and Rev. Glenn Ricketts officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Gordon's name to Monte Vista Christian Church, or your favorite charity. Janus -- Phyllis E. Janus, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Thursday, October 22, 1998. She is survived by her loving children, Judith A. Korus of Albuquerque, Thomas G. Janus and wife, Marilyn of Hagerstown, MD, and Michael J. Janus and wife, Nona of San Diego, CA; loving grandchildren, Julie, Jamie, Jeannie, Bryant, Erik, Vanessa, Mark Jonathan Hall, and David; loving great-grandchildren, Jacqueline and Tatum; loving sisters, Anne Cukierski, Dorothy Lewandowski, and Barbara Habig; and loving brothers, Frank Cukierski and Joseph Cukierski. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester L. Janus and by her loving daughter, Sandra Lee Condrey. Mrs. Janus was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd, NE, with Judith A. Korus reciting. Lucero -- Elijio Louis"Junior" Lucero, 46, of Encino, NM, was called to a better place to be with his heavenly father on October 23, 1998. Louis died Friday at Ruidoso Care Center. He was born October 18, 1952, at Encino, NM to the home of Jose Elijio and Emma Chavez Lucero. He attended school at Encino and Vaughn, NM. Elijio was a resident of ENMRSH in Santa Rosa from 1986-1992. For the past seven years he made his home at Ruidoso Care Center where he was employed at Allsups Convenience Stores, Pizza Hut, and Si Senor Restaurant. Louis participated in Special Olympics where he has won many medals. He most recently participated in the Special Olympics at Artesia on October 16th. Louis was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Encino, NM. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Chavez and his paternal grandparents, Jose and Eva Rivera. Survivors includes: his parents, Jose Elijio and Emma Lucero of the home in Encino; one sister, Christine Perea of Edgewood, NM; one brother, Ernest and wife, Cindy of Clovis; nieces, Felicity, Melanie and Trindy; three nephews, Ernie, Joseph and Lance. A very special grandmother, Lola Chavez of Encino. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 1998 from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Encino. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the church at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26 with Father Patrick Duffy, Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will follow at Encino Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Adan Rivera, Robert Rivera, Ismael Rivera, Evaristo Rivera, Alfonso Chavez, Paul"Tito" Chavez, and Gary Archuleta. Honorary bearers will be the residents of Ruidosos Care Center.
