Nielsen -- Eleanore M. Nielsen, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away March 30, 1998. She was born May 1, 1911 in Racine, WS. Eleanore was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Nielsen on December 13, 1986. She is survived by sons, Roy John Nielsen and wife, Janet, Harry Wayne Nielsen and wife, Bernadette, and Thomas Frank Nielsen and wife, Lee; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Jensen of Racine, WI and Dorothy Kersten of Phoenix, AZ. Richey -- Mildred Richey, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1935, died Saturday, March 28, 1998. She is survived by her brothers, James Goenour and Jacob Goenour, both of Topeka, KS; daughter-in-law, Billie Richey; granddaughter, Susan Richey; grandson, David Richey; step-granddaughter, Diana DePasquale; step-grandson, John DePasquale; one great-grandchild, Nick Espericueta, all of Albuquerque; and numerous other nieces. Mrs. Richey was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Romero -- Mrs. Vangie"E.V." A. Gilliam-Romero, 51, went home to be with our Lord on March 29, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. Vangie was the beloved wife of 1 1/2 years to Robert A. Romero. She is also survived by her loving sons, Joseph A. Segura and fiancee, Serena and Ray Segura and wife, Lilly; her parents, George and Andrea Gilliam Sr.; sisters, Cathy Sanchez and husband, Levi, Dorothy Sanchez and husband, Steven, Carmen Contreras and husband, Elfego and Ramona Aragon and husband, Richard; three brothers, George Gilliam Jr., John Gilliam and wife, Laura and Fred Gilliam and wife, Laura; one beautiful and special granddaughter, Devin Marie Segura and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Vangie was member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino de San Martin SW with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at San Martin Catholic Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Dan Farris will recite the rosary and celebrate the funeral mass. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Levi Sanchez, Brian Sanchez, David Gilliam, Michael Gilliam, Carlos Aragon and Chris Gabaldon. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd.
