Mr. Ruben G. Jaramillo, 81, went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2001. Ruben was born March 28, 1920 in Sedillo Hill, NM, to Transito and Manuelita Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Margaret Jaramillo; a daughter Mella Garcia and friend OJ De Varas, daughter Dorela Gonzales and husband Steve L., son Marvin L. Jaramillo, son Ernest R. Jaramillo, and daughter Melba L. Jaramillo; five grandchildren Alfred L. Candelaria, Vicente R. Garcia, Jessica D. Garcia, Adrianne N. Garcia and Daniel P. Garcia; two sisters Celia Jaramillo and Josefita Saiz; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel at Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited for Mr. Jaramillo on Tuesday Evening, April 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. also in the mortuary chapel. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Child Parish in Carnuel, , NM. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Anthony Griego Sr., Frank E. Griego, Alfred P. Candelaria, Vicente R. Garcia, Florenio Garcia and Joe Jaramillo. Honorary casket bearers will be Daniel Garcia, Danny Candelaria, Steven Griego and Floyd Jaramillo. The family would like to extended their sincere gratitude for all the care and compassion shown to them by the Staff at Paloma Blanca, the Veteran's Medical Center and all their friends.
