Obituary for Hoskins

Lucille E. Hoskins, age 84, departed from us on Friday, April 20, 2001. Lucille E. Hoskins was born March 18, 1917 at Okmulgee, OK to Mr. & Mrs. Sherman M. Robinson. She was married September 25, 1931 to Delmer J. Hoskins of Nocoma, TX. This union lasted 56 years and was blessed with three sons, Sherman Rex of Albuquerque, Edward Lee of Regina, NM, Joe Ray of Thoreau, NM; one daughter, June Ketchum of Dyersburg, TN; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren and many more loved ones and friends. She loved them all and counted them as blessings. Her loving son, Delmer Jackson II, preceded her in death on April 20, 1982 of Albuquerque, NM, her beloved husband, Delmer Jackson Hoskins on October 20, 1987 of Albuquerque, and Emily E. Bell on October 23, 1991, a precious great granddaughter from Dyersburg, TN. She has been a resident of New Mexico since 1938. She was an active minister of the Gospel for 30 years. Twelve of which she served as a missionary on the Navajo Reservation. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm, April 23, 2001 at the Storng-Thorne Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 110 Coal SE. Brother Clyde Yakley will officiate. Interment will follow in Sandia Memory Gardens.
