Obituary for Chilton

Lyman F. Chilton, 65, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, was taken home to be with our wonderful Saviour, Jesus, on April 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeannine; son, Wes Chilton and wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Dana Chilton, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brandon and Amanda Barnhouse of Farmington; sister, Jane Mohon and husband, Wayne of Albuquerque; and brother, Glen Chilton and wife Gerry, of Elephant Butte, NM. Mr. Chilton was preceded in death by his parents, John and Augusta Chilton; and brothers, John Chilton and James Laster. Lyman served in the Army National Guard for 8 years. He worked at Southern Union Gas Company for 10 years. He also worked for PNM for 25 years, retiring in 1988. After retiring, he drove a school bus for APS for three years, transporting special needs children. Mr. Chilton was a member of Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church. Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church, 7001 San Antonio NE, with Pastor Harold Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Perhaps you brought or served food. Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words as any friends could say, perhaps you were not there at all, just thought or prayed for us that day. Whatever the part the Lord had you play to console our hearts, we thank you so much, and may He bless each one of you. The family of Lyman F. Chilton.
