Sofronia Alderete, age 90, passed away April 21, 2001 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justo, and daughter, Beatrice. Fona is survived by her son, Jesse Alderete; sister, Rupe Gallegos; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2001. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2001 with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
