Grace M. Fitzgerald, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away Friday, November 30, 2001. She is survived by her nieces, Marcia Ann Morelli and husband, Domenick of Lutz, FL and Janet Chapman of Nashville, TN; and several nephews, stepchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Fitzgerald, founder of Fitzgerald Ice Cream Co. Grace served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and worked for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Marsha A. Moore officiating. Interment will take place at 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association of NM, 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
