Harry G. Tobin, 78, died after a long illness May 20, 2001. He was born in New York and participated in five Invasions in WWII as a member of the Coast Guard on the USS Samuel Chase. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Tobin; sons, William Tobin, George Tobin and wife, Maureen; daughters, Merrily Pearson and husband, Timothy, Gale Langston and husband, Erin; six grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Ryan, Michael, Daniel, and Katie. Services will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2001. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2001, with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
