Obituary for Tapia

Adrian Fernando Tapia, 18, passed away Saturday May 19, 2001 in Tucson, AZ. He was born November 24, 1982 to George P. Giron and Lorraine Nancy Tapia in Albuquerque NM. After 18 years of wonderful life, which included a three-year battle with cancer, Adrian completed his mission here on earth, May 19, 2001. Bringing Love, Laughter and Strength to each and every person who touched his life, Adrian's unfaltering faith and total trust in his destiny enabled him to enjoy each moment of his life to its fullest and share his wisdom with those who surrounded him. He taught us about importance of family, strong will, patience, miracles and most importantly love. Adrian's precious lessons will continue to live through his family and friends and he will be in our hearts forever. He is survived by his parents George and Lorraine; his grandparents , Mike Giron and Jose Tapia; one sister , Kymberly S. Tapia; three brothers , Damian Giron, Jason R. Giron, Derek S.D. Tapia and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles all of Albuquerque. His two grandmothers , Salome Giron and Carmelita Tapia, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited Thursday, May 24, 2001 at 7:00 pm at St. Therese Catholic Church located at 300 Mildred Ave NW. Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon, May 24 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Strong-Thorne Mortuary. The mass will be celebrated Friday, May 25, 2001 at 10:00 am also at St. Therese Catholic Church. Internment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE is in charge of arrangements.
