Elmer "Pat" Gronewald, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Sunday, May 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty Gronewald of Albuquerque; son, Pat Gronewald and Daneen of Albuquerque; daughter, Patricia Key of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Afton Gronewald, Maggie Gronewald, and Joshua Easley; brothers, John Gronewold and wife, Earlene of Decatur, IL and Joe Gronewold and wife, Mary of Avon, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his eight sisters and two brothers. Mr. Gronewald was a member of Church of The Good Shepherd, Western Teamsters Local 492, and the National Rifle Association. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2001, 11:00 a.m., at Church of The Good Shepherd, 7834 Tennyson NE, with Rev. Stephen Halsted officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of The Good Shepherd, 7834 Tennyson NE, 87112 or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3150 Carlisle NE, Suite 35, 87110.
