Duane "Dee" Velasquez, 63 of Santa Fe, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Velasquez; and sister, Isabel Abeyta. She is survived by her daughters, Loretta Vetter and husband, John of North Pole, AK, Patricia Padilla and husband, Herman, Teresa Velasquez-Martinez and husband, Luis, Christina Maes and husband Basilio "Sonny" Maes, Jr., Melinda Velasquez and fiancĒ Michael Baca, Yolanda Martinez and husband, Robert; niece, Frances Vigil all of Santa Fe. She is also survived by sisters, Virginia Martinez, Viola Romero and husband, Henry, Tessie Gordon, Ruth Moya, Margaret Trujillo and husband, Richard; brother, Tranquilino Vigil and wife, Fedy; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at Berardinelli Family Chapel where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church.
