Obituary for Romero

Michael M. Romero Esq. 43, was called home on May 16, 2001. "Big Mike" was a practicing attorney in Las Cruces, NM for 15 years and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping. His family is his source of joy and love and this was evident in all that he had accomplished in his short life. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Redolfo Romero, paternal grandparents, Marcos A. and Angelica M. Romero and maternal grandfather, Ignacio Ramirez. He is survived by his mother, Annie Romero of Corrales; his children, Robert Dylan and Micah Lee Romero of Highland Park, CO; two brothers, Greg Romero of Corrales, Thomas Romero and wife Bonnie of Albuquerque; one sister, Kathryn A. Romero-Chavez and husband, Andy of Albuquerque; three nephews, Rudy and Jesse Chavez and Victor Romero all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his companion, Oralia Miranda of Las Cruces, Ron Garcia of Corrales, and maternal grandmother Mela Ramirez of Albuquerque. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins from Albuquerque to California to Las Cruces. Special thanks to Michael's Auntie Alice, Auntie Pinky, Auntie Werra, Uncle Richard, Uncle Bob, and Uncle Rick for their strength and support in Michael's time of need. The Visitation for Michael will be on Monday, May 21, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
