Kathy Peterson, 58, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jim Peterson of Albuquerque; sons, Jamey Peterson and wife, Tanya of Mountainair, and Stephen Peterson and fiancé, Dawn Covert of Estancia; father, Walter Meyer; brother, Daniel Meyer and wife, Nancy, both of Farmington; sister, Diane Parker and husband, Ed of Gallup; brother, Wally Meyer and wife, Sue Jean of Farmington; brother-in-law, David Peterson of Albuquerque; and sister-in-law, Shirley Williams and husband, Lindy of Eagle Nest, NM. She formerly was head of the Albuquerque Art Association. Kathy will be remembered by all that loved her as an exceptionally talented artist having owned two galleries and taught hundreds of students in the Albuquerque area. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Sanchez, 77 a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2001. Joe was born February 3, 1924 the son of Patricio and Navorcita Duran Sanchez in Los Angeles, California. He had been a Printing Superintendant for the Atomic Energy Commission before retiring. He had served in the US Army during WW II. Joe was a member of St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy of the family home. Children, Alice Garcia of Albuquerque, Joanna Morgan of Sacramento, CA, Cynthia Gunderson of Albuquerque, Michael Sanchez, MD of San Antonio, TX, seven grandchildren, Carrie Lyn Morgan, Aric Morgan, Dee Ann Burton, Jayson Garcia, Rachael Gunderson, Carla Sanchez, and Suzanne Sanchez, five Great-grandchildren, Alexander Artuckovich, Carolyn Artuckovich, Madison Burton, Natalie Burton and Milo Burton, two sister, Della Jones of Silverton, OR and Mary Evelyn Rupe of Carson City, NV, one brother-in-law, Maurice Silva. A Rosay will be recited on Sunday, May 20, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 21, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church with Rev.
