Obituary for Fuentes

John Montano Fuentes, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1931, died Thursday, July 26, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pat Fuentes; daughter, Judy Fuentes Overholser; son, Don R. Fuentes; and granddaughter, Jasah Fuentes Overholser. Mr. Fuentes was born in Roswell, NM and graduated from Albuquerque High School. He received his degree from St. Joseph's College. John served in the U.S. Air Force Intelligence during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a computer analyst for civil service for 37 years until his retirement in 1989. After retirement he worked at Clair Campbell Automotive as office manager and was very active at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and with the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Fuentes was a beloved husband, father andgrandfather and will be deeply missed by all whom his life touched. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Rosary will be recited Sunday, July 29, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 30, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE, with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant.
