Dick A. Gallegos, 79, died Monday, July 23, 2001 at his home in Socorro, NM. He was born August 26, 1921 to Andres and Labradita (Gonzales) Gallegos in Tokay, NM. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Viola Gallegos; brothers, Santiago, Johnny, Tony and Andres Jr.; and sister, Pauline Garcia. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Trini Aragon Gallegos of their home in Socorro; sons, Leroy Gallegos of Socorro, Ricky Gallegos and wife, Marcie of Socorro, Michael Gallegos and wife, Jennie of Belen, NM and Joe Gallegos and wife, Lisa of Albuquerque; daughters, Marie Valles and fiancé, Jim of Socorro and Bernida Sanchez and husband, Anthony of Socorro; brothers, Larry Gallegos and wife, Ida, Luciano Gallegos and wife, Tersilla and Dennis Gallegos and wife, Amada, all of Socorro and James Gallegos of San Antonio, NM; sisters, Nellie Cardiel of San Jose, CA, Rosa Calvillo and husband, Bob of Sunnyvale, CA Rita Alegria and husband, Dick of Socorro and Gloria Thais and husband, Ernie of Socorro; grandchildren, Rick Gallegos Jr. and wife, Lorrie, Elisha Gallegos, Adam Gallegos, Tanya Baca and husband, Norman, Michelle Casillas and husband, Thomas, Miguel Gallegos, Pamela Valles, Eric Valles, Joleena Sanchez, Tony Rey Sanchez, Joe Joe Gallegos and Tabatha Gallegos; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Jacob Baca, Mariah Valles, Jadyn Casillas and Xavier Baca; and other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 26, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at San Miguel with Father Edward Domme as Celebrant. Interment of Mr. Gallegos' Cremains will be at the San Miguel Cemetery on Saturday, July 28, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with military honors.
