Obituary for Shell

Thelma Mae Shell, age 78, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2001, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born January 6, 1923 in Rincona, NM to the late George Lee and Myrtle Canon. She is survived by one step daughter, Joyce Ann and husband, Ralph Combs, Gratis, Ohio; one son, David F. and wife, Maye Ehret, Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Ruth Dobyns, Bencia, CA, Margaret Causey, Zachary, LA, Wyona and husband, Bob Noel, Tularosa, NM; two brothers, Donald Eugene and wife, Carol Canon, Caldwell, TX, Clay Carter Canon, Caldwell, TX, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 22, 2001 at the Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of the Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Pastor Randy Walquist will officiate and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements for Thelma Shell are under the direction of the Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
