Joe Thomas, father, grandfather, and friend, 79, born March 19, 1922 in Pueblo, Colorado, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. Mr. Thomas, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959 passed away at Presbyterian Hospital from complications with cancer. Preceded in death by his wife, Lamona Marie Thomas "Brownie" in 1983, he is survived by his daughter, Pam and husband, Randy Allen; son, Stan Thomas; grandchildren, Kim Massey-Dimsha, SeanAguilar-Thomas, Andrew and Matthew Rhyand, Mackenzie Allen; and great-grandson, Max Dimsha, all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are siblings, Fred Thomas with wife, Donna; Charles Thomas, and Virginia Allen; as well as close friends, Georgia LaBar; Marvin and Louisa Friedichsen with their daughter, Felicia. Joe Thomas was a member of the Local Teamster's Union #492 and also of the National Street Rod Association. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 5, 4:00 p.m. at Aspen Funeral Services, 1935 Juan Tabo Blvd., N.E.
