James (Smokey) William Thompson, April 12, 1942 - September 23, 2001. James died at home early Sunday, September 23 of a heart attack. He's survived by wife, Elizabeth (Penny) Thompson of Belen; and three children, son, Dale Holliday and wife, Silvia; daughter, Donene Safford and husband, Eric; son, Dwayne Holliday and wife, Kristie; and 11 grandchildren, Mackie, Christal, James, Elizabeth, Ailea, Ashli, Joanna, Jorden, Stetson, Josh, and Emilio; and many other family and valued friends.
