Doris A. Ashley, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961 passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2001. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on February 10, 1913 to Gilbert and Letitia Rice and married Leroy Russell Ashley in July 1932. She is survived by two sons, Jerry and wife, Kaddie of Morgan Hill, CA; and Steven and wife, Carol of Albuquerque. She is also survived by the greatest joys of her life, her grandchildren, Jaime and Carlee Ashley of Albuquerque and Sergio Ashley of California. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982; and her son, William Ashley in 1996. Doris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family extends special thanks to the staffs of the Hilldale Residential Home and Sandia Hospice. Family Services and cremation took place on Saturday, October 27, 2001.
