Howard Buchanan, 36, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 29, 2001. He is survived by his parents, John and LaDean Buchanan of Albuquerque; brothers, Ken Buchanan and wife, Amy of Georgia and Keith Buchanan of Albuquerque; nieces and nephew, Melody, Kelly, and Jesse; uncles and aunts, Harvey and Carol Johnson, Sue and Houston Green, David and Kay Buchanan, Margaret Gregory and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Jr. in 1983; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Buchanan and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Johnson. Mr. Buchanan was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2001, 11:30 a.m., at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE, with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday, April 2, 2001, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE, 87111 or to National Alliance for the Mentally of Albuquerque, 6001 Marble NE, Suite 7, 87110.
