Obituary for Hannigan

George A. Hannigan, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, died Sunday, March 25, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Irene Ann Sanchez and husband, Carlos of Albuquerque; two grandsons, John Connaughton and wife, Lucretia of Davie, FL and Thomas Connaughton of Albuquerque; one granddaughter, Carlene Adele Sanchez of Los Angeles, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Shaun and Tanya Connaughton. Mr. Hannigan was preceded in death by his wife, Adele; and two brothers, Robert and John Hannigan. He worked for the New York City Transit Authority, and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He was a past Master of Masonic Lodge, Willard Sylvan Grove #250, of Long Island, NY. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Norton Scrimshire officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
