Obituary for Paniagua

Evarista (Eva) Paniagua, 71, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 18, 2001. Eva was born in Vinton, TX and was a resident of Albuquerque; she was a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; she was an incredible cook who enjoyed cooking for her family. Her hobbies were embroidering; doll collecting; and shopping at antique shops. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jess Paniagua; her children, Roger Paniagua and wife, Yolanda of Albuquerque, Lucy Freeman of San Bernardino, CA, Luis Paniagua of Colton, CA; and a step-son, Michael Castillo of San Diego, CA; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be today from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Casket bearers will be Roger Jr., Mario, Joey, Maurice, Rocko Paniagua and Sam Freeman. At the family's request memorial contributions may be made to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St., NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary 9420 4th St. NW. 898-3160
