Vera Soledad Maria Chavez, 60, a resident of Adelino, NM peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 while surrounded by her devoted family. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, NM. She was preceded in death by her father, Ramon F. Sanchez. Vera is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Lawrence"Larry" Chavez; her five children, Ruth Groom; Mary Valdez and husband, Randy; Lawrence Pacheco; Dolores Pacheco and her financee, Roman Madrid; and Sheri Chavez; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; her mother, Elisia Sanchez; her brothers and sisters, Emily Castro; Marcella Romero, Adolph Sanchez; Gloria Trujillo and husband, Ernest; Isabel Lovato and husband, Mike; Theresa Humphreys and husband, Terry; and Raymond Sanchez. She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A Visitation will be held on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. Interment will follow in the Tome Parish Cemetery.
