Billye Lois Heard, 71, a resident of Mountainair, NM, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2001. She was born to Dick and Lennis (Gregory) Passmore November 16, 1929 in Hominy, OK. Billye is survived by her sons, Dennis Heard of Albuquerque, John Heard and his wife, Ginger of Mountainair, NM; her daughter, Patti Heard of Mountainair, NM; her brothers, Pat Passmore of Hominy, OK, Joe Passmore of Oklahoma City, OK; also her sisters, Carmelita Lacrone of Skitook, OK and Clara Kirkwood of Mountainair, NM; she has four grandchildren, Rachel Heard, Rebecca Smith, Richard Smith and Kristie Smith that also survive her. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Billye Jean Heard; and her sister, Launice Kastle. Billye was instrumental in starting the Cibola Art Gallery in Mountainair, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mountainair. She was a very loving mother, sister, and grandmother and will be missed very much by those who knew and loved her. Billye will lie in state Saturday, October 13, 2001, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair, Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Richard Spence officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sullenger, Greg Brazil, Dean Solomon, Ray Clark, Earl Jones, Bob Self, Honorary Pallbearers will be J.P. Helms, Jim Brown and Howard Groves. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene Church fund, PO Box 541 Mountainair, NM 87036. Arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM.
