Obituary for Maldonado

Frances Mitchelle Maldonado, 40, a resident of Albuquerque was lifted to Heaven by the Angels on November 6, 2001. Her 40 year journey to be at our Lord's side led her on many paths. Frances attended the University of New Mexico where she earned her Associate in Applied Science in Business Technology in May 1986. She was Owner of Enchantment Delights and was famous for baking her delicious Josecito-Biscochitos. In 1989, she was passing New Mexico House Bill 406 declaring the Bizcochito as our official State Cookie. Frances was blessed with song and touched many with her music. Frances most often shared her music in God's church and often praised the Lord through song. Frances battled cancer during the last two years of her life and inspired many with her strength, courage and faith. Frances was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and was blessed to have the support and comfort of her family and many friends. The Maldonado family would like to express their sincere thanks for the support and generosity of Frances' family and friends who have helped her to complete her journey to God. Frances is survived by her daughter, Deluvina Marky Maldonado; her parents, Jose and Eloisa Maldonado; two sisters, Theresa Marie Pesce and husband, Ralph and Antionette Renee Maldonado; two brothers, Joseph A. Maldonado and wife, Janet, Andrew P. Maldonado and Stephanie; seven nieces and nephews, Joseph (jojo), Brittany, Michelle, Myrissa, Ralph III, Christopher and Joseph (A.J.); special Godchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Frances was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday evening after 6:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquanis Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, N.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday morning after 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 noon by Msgr. Douglas Raun and con-celebrated by Deacon Manuel Maldonado. Interment will follow at the Sandia Memorial Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Joseph A. Maldonado, Andrew P. Maldonado, Ralph R. Pesce II, Joseph Maldonado, Christopher Brown, Joseph Harris and Anthony Gonzales. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
