Sylvia M. Turrieta, a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday at the age of 59. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Alice Turrieta. Sylvia is survived by her brothers, Edward Turrieta of Philippines, and Patrick Turrieta of Albuquerque; and sister, Cecile Chang and husband, Paul of Albuquerque. Funeral Services for Sylvia will be held on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Turrieta, Tony Turrieta, Matt Turrieta, John Turrieta, Frank Turrieta and Louie Turrieta. A Rosary for Sylvia will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
